The accumulated dust, dirt, and other debris can reduce the life of your Rugs. A correct cleaning routine will enhance your carpet's appearance and lifespan drastically. Make sure to hire a professional rug cleaner for your cleaning routine at least once a year. Get a distinguished provider who offers a guaranteed service and reimburses the cost of the carpet in case of damage. Rughz is not liable for any damage resulting from the incorrect cleaning process.

SPECIAL CARE BASED ON CONSTRUCTION

Hand-tufted rugs: These are commonly made of wool with tight knitting processes to form a cut and looped pile. Hence look out for shedding, and vacuum the carpet regularly to decrease shedding over time. It is also prone to sprouting, and pulling these out would harm your rug, so trim the thread properly.

Loops and shags: The loops and shags have a patterned grit of thread that can accumulate dirt. Hence, vacuum regularly to avoid any premature wear. Also, take the rug outdoors weekly or monthly to shake the dirt out.

Flatweave rugs: These are finely woven flat carpets without any pile hence often thinner than other carpets. Make sure to use a rug pad below them to avoid slippage over these rugs.

SPECIAL CARE BASED ON MATERIAL

Wool: All wool rugs shed on wear; however, after 20-25 vacuums, the shedding is curtailed. Avoid excessive heat in the cleaning process, and use a mixture of dish soap and cold water to remove stains.

Jute/Hemp/Coir/Sisal: Natural fibers have loose knots; hence vacuum on the low power setting and clean from different angles. Never pull the loose threads of the rug; instead, trim these loose ends present on the surface of the carpet using a scissor.

Semi-Synthetic/Synthetic fiber: Try absorbing as much stain as possible using a dry cotton towel or paper towel to blot out the liquid. Never clean viscose/Tencel/Nylon rugs with water or cleaning liquid. If applying household cleaning agents, test on a small area before using the entire surface.
